MINIMAL RECOVERY TIME

An interventional radiology procedure is typically performed in less time than surgery, without general anesthesia and without hospitalization or a long recovery period. Instead of a deep incision, our doctors require only a small opening in the skin to access the bloodstream—similar to an IV or blood draw. As a result, you’ll leave our center the same day with just a band-aid and you can resume most normal activities in just a day or two.

TRAVELING FROM OUT OF TOWN?

Finding such a highly trained team of subspecialty physicians in one convenient location is rare, and because of this, many patients from other areas of the country seek out University Radiology radiologists. If you plan to visit us from out of town for your procedure, you’ll be happy to know that you can travel to and from our center in a single day for your appointment. If you prefer to stay overnight, please call us and our team can arrange to find you accommodations nearby.
