Ali A. Saifuddin, MD

Dr. Ali Saifuddin is a board-certified Interventional Radiologist with University Radiology Group and serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Radiology at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that offer effective alternatives to traditional surgery, helping patients achieve excellent outcomes with less pain, fewer complications, and shorter recovery times.

Committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Saifuddin utilizes the latest advances in Interventional Radiology to treat a broad range of vascular and nonvascular conditions. He works closely with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.

Schooling

Dr. Saifuddin earned his MD from Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he graduated with Distinction in Community Service. He completed a General Surgery internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, developing a strong foundation in surgical patient care and perioperative management.

He subsequently completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was recognized with the Roentgen Resident Research Award and received multiple academic scholarships in recognition of his scholarly achievements and academic excellence. He then completed advanced fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and Moffitt Cancer Center, gaining extensive experience in complex image-guided procedures, embolization therapies, vascular interventions, and interventional oncology.

Dr. Saifuddin is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in both Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.

Experience

Dr. Saifuddin performs a comprehensive range of minimally invasive image-guided procedures utilizing advanced catheter-based and percutaneous techniques. His practice focuses on providing effective, evidence-based treatments that minimize patient discomfort, reduce recovery times, and offer alternatives to more invasive surgical procedures.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Saifuddin serves as Co-Director of Peer Learning and Co-Director of Journal Club for the interventional radiology at University Radiology Group. Through these leadership roles, he promotes continuous quality improvement, physician education, and the integration of emerging evidence into clinical practice.

Dr. Saifuddin is also actively involved in medical education as a Clinical Instructor at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He teaches and mentors medical students, diagnostic radiology residents, and interventional radiology fellows, contributing to the training of future physicians and advancing the academic mission of the department.
